Mission & Goals:
The mission of the Alexandria PTA Council Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee is to support our local PTA units in building equitable and diverse school communities to promote family empowerment and engagement.
​
To accomplish this mission, the Committee will:

Serve as a catalyst and resource in transforming local PTAs to relevant and fully representative membership organizations;

Partner with ACPS to identify and develop family engagement opportunities;

Assist in connecting PTA units with other community stakeholders to effectively form partnerships that support family engagement;

Provide training to local PTA leaders in diversity & inclusion best practices.
